2022 NCPS Reunion
May 20-22 in Guntersville, AL

Check into the Wyndham Garden Lake on Friday May 20th. Enjoy a Meet & Greet at the hotel, with 6 pm dinner at Top O’ the River.

Highlight of the weekend (on Sat) will be a recreation of the 22-mile journey that was conducted every day for 64 years by the NC&St.L Navy, as their stern-wheel steamboats and barges plied the river back-and-forth between the rail heads at Guntersville and Hobbs Island, Alabama near Huntsville. Along the way we will pass by Bat Cave, go through the locks at Guntersville Dam, and past the Painted Bluffs. A box lunch will be provided for each person. The boat will also offer beverages and snacks for sale separately. It does have a restroom facility. This will be a one-way trip downriver to Hobbs Island, and afterward we will carpool back to the City Docks in Guntersville.

Saturday evening we will enjoy our dinner meal and annual business meeting in a private room at the Wyndham.

Some of our members have inquired as to whether or not we would permit friends or relatives to join us on the river cruise, who have not registered for the Reunion itself. As we do have a minimum charge to meet for the rental of the cruise boat, the Board agreed that we would do this, subject to two stipulations:

  • Anyone not registered for the Reunion will be required to pay the full per person cruise/lunch cost of $80;
  • if it should happen that the number of people who apply for the cruise should exceed the boat’s allowable 34 passenger maximum, priority will be given to Reunion attendees.

All applicants will be accepted in the order in which their application (with payment) is received, subject to the stipulations described above.

Please remember to include your membership dues with your registration.

For more details, pleas see the Registration Form.

If you are doing just the boat trip, and not registering for the Reunion,
you can fill out the registration form, and just write on it "Cuise Only",
and enclosed a check for $80 per person.

Make checks payable to NCPS, and mail to Sylvia Lightfoot, NCPS Treasurer, 7509 Logan Circle SW, Huntsville, AL 35802
