John Coffer

The man in the top photo is my grandfather, John Coffer, who lived his life in Paducah, Ky. He retired from the railroad in about 1941.

The photo at the bottom is one that I picked up recently at a train show in Indianapolis. Since NC&St.L items are hard to locate, I jump at the chance to buy. The same goes for the photo on the right.....it holds no personal attachment, only in the fact that my grandfather was an engineer for that particular railroad & from what I've seen, that logbook is a hard-to-come-by item.
