(E) Method of operation was train order operation
also called timetable/train order operation. The Lexington train
order station was a continious station while Parsons and Perryville
were 8 am until 5 pm stations. Lexington was on the main line therefore
was needed 24 hours a day; the Parsons and Perryville stations were
only needed during actual traffic operations along that branch.
The Perryville branch would have never needed anything more advanced,
given it was very much in decline during the thirties and abandoned
in 1936.
